* Payment. 3Thirds will expect cleared payment before releasing final images. For larger projects, 3Thirds will expect a deposit to be paid in advance, along with a stage payment plan.

*Liabilty. Except where required by law, 3Thirds' liability however arising, shall never be more than the fee for the work.

* Copyright. 3Thirds retains copyright of its own material, irrespective of the format. 3Thirds issues a licence for others to use the copyright material in certain defined ways, typically non-commercially for the purposes of the organisation. 3Thirds will assume that 3Thirds can use material for its own purposes (free of charge), such as on this website, though where images of people are concerned, 3Thirds will seek suitable permission first (usually via a model release). 3Thirds will also assert its moral rights, such as to request a by-line or to request that an image be removed if it is being used in an inappropriate way. * 3Thirds will warrant that the material delivered does not impinge the copyright of others, except where suitable parallel agreements have been put in place (typically if a project involves photographing the copyright material of others).

* Depending on the project, 3Thirds might request a model release. This will be based on the standard model release as issued by the Royal Photographic Society*. The purpose of a model release is to make clear to both parties what use images can be put to and what terms (eg payment) might be applicable.
